SIBUR is a unique project of vertical integration in petrochemical sector.
SIBUR project (initially GNK) was started in 1996 by Petrochemical Holding GmbH.

Mr. Goldovskiy proposed and successfully implemented (as General Director of GNK and later Sibur) concept of restructurization and consolidation programme for collapsing petrochemical sector in Russia.

In 1999 and 2000 Sibur was acknowledged by the Ministry of Economy as the fastest developing company in Russia.

The turnover of the entity Sibur increased from 0 in 1998 to 2 bn USD in 2001, at the time when crude oil prices were below 20 USD per barrel.

In 1999 and 2000 Mr. Goldovskiy in his capacity as a General Director of Sibur received 2 grants from US Government for Russian petrochemistry.

The business was sold to Gazprom in 2002 as a result of change of Gazprom senior management.
