Iakov Goldovskiy has led Petrochemical Holding GmbH since 2005. He brings more than 30 years of experience in establishing and managing oil and gas and petrochemical businesses, with a focus on industrial development, investment strategy and corporate management.
He studied accounting and auditing at the Odessa State Academy of Food Technologies, economics and law at the Russian State University for the Humanities, and completed an Executive MBA at IMADEC University in Vienna.
Andrey Yurkevich, PhD

Andrey Yurkevich has more than 25 years of experience with Petrochemical Holding GmbH in strategy and business development. He oversees portfolio management, coordinates the Group’s subsidiaries and supports investment projects from initial concept through implementation and performance monitoring.
He has led teams across petrochemicals, oil refining and hydrocarbon production and previously held senior positions at SIBUR. He has academic backgrounds in civil engineering, construction and economics and holds a PhD in Economics.

Bassem Elshemmy leads the development of strategic partnerships with corporations, financial institutions and government stakeholders. He brings more than 30 years of international experience across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe, spanning investment facilitation, government reform, digital transformation and business development. He previously worked with the World Bank, IFC, UNDP, EU, USAID, in addition to elite private sector market leaders in Egypt, the Gulf, and Europe.
He holds a dual-degree Global Executive MBA from the WU Executive Academy in Vienna and the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

Vadim Ustinov is a senior international executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience in energy systems, industrial manufacturing and investment-led infrastructure projects. At Petrochemical Holding, he leads the Energy & Mining portfolio, focusing on strategic partnerships, project development and the execution of large-scale industrial investments across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
He previously held senior executive positions at Magna Steyr, Rolls-Royce and BASF. His expertise includes project structuring, corporate strategy, investment evaluation and governance for capital-intensive projects.

His hands-on approach spans various areas, including logistics, production enhancement, and market development. Currently, he oversees the Ghana program, a significant initiative in which Petrochemical Holding is developing a multi-stream project.

He holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. His career includes roles with Nestlé and Deloitte, as well as professional experience in ten countries across three continents.

Alexey Mashinets provides legal support for Petrochemical Holding’s international Energy & Mining projects across Europe, Kazakhstan, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa. He brings more than 15 years of executive-management experience in international power and mining companies, supported by a further 10 years of experience in banking and consulting across the CIS.
Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Metwally leads DrasChem Specialty Chemicals LLC, the project company responsible for the sodium cyanide initiative in Egypt. He previously served as CEO of Oriental Petrochemicals Company, Chairman of Egyptian Petrochemicals Company, and Chairman and CEO of Middle East Oil Refinery.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Alexandria University and a PhD focused on management and the identification of environmental hazards in oil refineries.
Dmitry Pertel, MSc

Dmitry Pertel is a senior geologist with more than 38 years of experience in mining, exploration, mineral resource evaluation and technical consulting. He has led resource modelling, due diligence, audits and technical studies across a broad range of commodities and jurisdictions.
His previous positions include Principal Geologist at AMC Consultants, Principal Geologist and Russia Manager at CSA Global, and Consulting Manager at Micromine. He holds an MSc in Geology from St. Petersburg Mining Institute and has experience with JORC and NI 43-101 reporting.
